THURSDAY 6 - 7.30pm
Andrew was introduced to yoga in 2012 through his college Bhakti Yoga club. The group of monks leading the club taught the yoga of devotion and practiced chanting mantras, singing kirtan, and studying philosophy. Andrew's devotion to yoga stuck through his exploration of spirituality and other practices. He soon began regularly taking vinyasa yoga classes and developed a strong self practice. Vipassana meditation became a daily piece of his practice after attending a silent course on the technique. Over the last few years his dedication to these practices continues to grow as he studies many traditions and styles of yoga, focusing on the Ashtanga and Iyengar traditions, and taking workshops and retreats around the US and India.
In 2016 Andrew completed his 200hr teacher training through Moksha Yoga Center and taught at their retreat center, Stonehouse Farms, for two summers. Working continuously to explore and integrate yoga and meditation into his life, he has seen it bring immense physical, mental, and spiritual growth. Andrew strives to teach accessible, alignment based classes rooted in classical yogic tradition in order to share yoga’s countless benefits with all of his students.
