Yin Yoga is the perfect antidote to urban living! We give out so much of ourselves (yang energy), that it is important to invest in ourselves and take some time for self care (yin energy)
Yin Yoga stimulates the energy meridians throughout the body. During the workshop we will focus on our bones and ligaments, practicing a series of floor postures, each held 3 to 5 minutes. While this form of Yoga is more passive, it can also be quite challenging.
All levels are welcome and modifications will be provided for any sensitivities or injuries. We will also have a 15 minute mediation at the end of practice.
James began practicing yoga in 1997. He has traveled to Mysore, India three times to study with V. Venkatesh and completed 200 hour teacher trainings with Shivakali and Suddha Weixler. His teachings have been shaped by yin masters, Paul Grilley and Sarah Powers.
